With Two Exciting, Interactive Programs About Electricity

Presented At Your School for Grades 4-8

Giants of Electrical Science

(Educational Theatre Presentation)

Who was the greatest electrical scientist of all time? This fast paced, interactive theatre presentation will help answer that question as Benjamin Franklin, Alessandro Volta, Michael Faraday, and Thomas Edison, vie for the title of “Giant of Electrical Science.” With the help of student volunteers, each scientist will demonstrate his special contributions to the science of electricity. Along the way, students will learn all about electricity and how it works.

Running Time: 60 minutes     Audience Size: up to 150

The Electricity Party

(Hands-On Science Workshop)

Like “natural philosophers” (scientists) of old, your students will be energized with this hands-on exploration of electricity. Working in small groups, students will build their own electrical storage devices and create human electrical circuits! Some students will explore electromagnetism as they build electric motors. Your students will be shocked to discover how much fun learning about electricity can be! All materials will be provided.

Running Time: 45-60 minutes  Workshop Size: 30 max

These presentations were developed in special partnership with the Adventure Science Center of Nashville. Please visit them at www.adventuresci.com.
