PRICES

The price structure is the same for In-Person presentations of

Giants of Electrical Science, The Energy Detective, and

Newton: The Apple and Beyond.

Basic Package . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $900.00

Additional Presentations . . . . . . $100.00 each

The Basic Package includes one performance and one session of the corresponding workshop. The cost of the Basic Package is the minimum performance fee, even if you select fewer presentations. There are no additional travel fees for schools located in Tennessee.

You may schedule up to five presentations for your presentation day. All  presentations will be provided on the same day at the same school. 

The Basic Package for Ben Franklin’s Electricity Party includes three presentations. The cost for the Basic Package and any additional presentations is the same as the prices listed above. 

VIRTUAL Energy Detective . . . . . $600 (One Week Unlimited Access)

Please note that these prices are available to schools in Tennessee and are subject to change. Schools located outside of Tennessee should contact the Educational Touring Theatre to negotiate prices for their area.

FUNDING

Student Ticket Subsidy Program

The Student Ticket Subsidy Program (STS) is one of the most popular funding programs for schools presenting Educational Touring Theatre programs. With STS, your school could receive full or partial funding for your Educational Touring Theatre presentations. The STS program is administered by the Tennessee Arts Commission with funds provided by the State of Tennessee and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The STS program is available to all Tennessee public schools. Once you have reserved your Educational Touring Theatre presentation date, you will submit a simple on-line fill in the blank application form to the Tennessee Arts Commsssion. If you have never used the STS program, the Educational Touring Theatre can walk you through the entire process.

If your school does not receive your STS funding request, you may cancel your Educational Touring Theatre reservation at no charge.

Middle Tennessee Electric Sponsorship

The Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) is currently sponsoring presentations of Giants of Electrical Science, The Energy Detective (In-Person and Virtual), and Ben Franklin’s Electricity Party.  MTE sponsorships are available to all schools (public or private) located within their service area. MTE awards up to forty sponsorships for each school year.

MTE sponsorship packages include one science theatre performance and two sessions of the corresponding workshop or three presentations of Ben Franklin’s Electricity Party. Schools receiving a sponsorship are charged  a $100 participation fee. Schools may add additional presentations to their package at the standard additional presentation rate.

Schools may select the Virtual Energy Detective free of charge.

Duck River Electric Membership Corporation Sponsorship

The Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC) is currently sponsoring presentations both In-Person and Virtual presentations of The Energy Detective. DREMC sponsorships are available to all schools (public or private) located within their service area. DREMC awards up to twelve sponsorships for each school year.

DREMC  In-Person sponsorship packages include one performance of The Energy Detective and one session of the Energy Casebook workshop. Participating schools receive either the In-Person or Virtual sponsorship package free of charge. Schools may add additional presentations to their package at the standard additional presentation rate.

Support the Arts in Tennessee
